The SmartTether Flight Modules are wireless
data modules which are attached to a blimp
or kite tether. Each module is capable of
measuring multiple parameters
including pressure, temperature, relative
humidity, wind speed, and wind direction.
Extra analog and digital
interfaces are provided
for additional sensors allowing
the user to customize their system.
Each module sends its data to a receiver
on the ground, which works with custom software
on a PC to record and
display the data in real time.
The data rate has been tested
at 1 Hz for 6 modules.
